GlobalTV BC anchor Chris Gailus is seen here with former city councillor Kim Capri
CityCaucus.com caught up with Chris Gailus, GlobalTV's News Hour anchor, and asked him to list the top three pavilions he was looking forward to visiting during the 2010 Olympic Games. Here is what Chris told us...
"It’s hard to whittle this down to just three, because there is SO MUCH I’d like to do, but here goes:
Concord Place – our main broadcast location and home to Ontario, Quebec and Saskatchewan Houses which puts a whole lot of friendly Canadian flavour within a short walk. It should be good people-watching too, with all of the VIP’s and hockey legends heading into and out of Molson Canadian Hockey House.
Saxony House at the Vancouver Rowing Club in Stanley Park– My Dad was born in Germany and we grew up on liverwurst and pickled herring. It might be inappropriate for me to suggest I’m going for the beer, so let’s just say I can’t wait to sample the food of my heritage. Ha!
Vectorial Elevation – I don’t really know what this is going to look like (although the latest edition of TV Week has a pretty cool simulated photo) but I bet it will be spectacular. Wander down to the water side and check out this massive interactive laser light show over False Creek/English Bay! The laser/waterworks show looks like it will be awesome too.
Check back here tomorrow when we profile Miss 604 and her top three picks from our Where 2 Be for Free guide.
