Popular talk radio host Christy Clark says Granville Island will be a top destination
She's the former Deputy Premier of British Columbia and now Christy Clark hosts a popular talk radio show in Vancouver every afternoon. CityCaucus.com caught up with her last week and asked her which of the free pavilions she was looking forward to visiting during the Olympic Games. Here is what she told us...
"My number one thing? Just hanging out. I intend to take my son and wander between the LiveCity sites downtown, taking in all the street theatre and art for as many days as I can. Then we'll take in some of the free shows at the end of the night.
I'm really looking forward to heading down to Granville Island. It's always one of the best places in the city and now it has a streetcar to take us there. I'm betting Atlantic Canada House is going to be fantastic - full of the warmth and welcome that Atlantic Canada is famous for.
Third is Heinekin House in Richmond. No, not for the beer - because my son is half dutch. He says he wants to see if there's a skeleton on display so he can find out if a Dutchman's skull is really made of wood."
Over the last week, CityCaucus.com has been asking local media celebrities which venues they intend to visit during the upcoming 2010 Olympic Games. Tomorrow we'll be featuring the top picks of GlobalTV's popular weatherman Wayne Cox.
