CityCaucus.com makes the media rounds and online this week
It's been a busy week for everyone at CityCaucus Tower as we madly prepare for Santa's arrival. Daniel and Mike have also been appearing in print, on-air and online beyond this blog.
On Monday morning Erin Chutter participated in the Early Edition's weekly political panel. Then Tuesday, Daniel joined host Bill Good, development consultant Jim Green and journalist Frances Bula for their weekly Civic Affairs Panel on CKNW. This week the panel and callers weighed in on Vision Vancouver's budget controversy, an idea for container housing spiked in Surrey, plus Bill plugged CityCaucus.com's "Free 2010 Venues" page. You can listen to the show in CKNW's Audio Vault by selecting 9am on Tuesday, December 15th.
CityCaucus.com's Mike Klassen was featured in two podcast interviews looking at the "year-end" of local politics. Joseph Planta of TheCommentary.ca is one of the best interviewers that this city knows, and his coverage lately with local subjects is highly recommended. Joe's latest interview with Mike is linked here. Jonathon Narvey is a local writer with Granville Magazine and a well-known blogger. Narvey speaks with Mike on his latest podcast which you can find here.
Later in the week Mike's latest 24 Hours column came out, where he argues that it will take considerable citizen involvement for the region to realize any tangible benefits from the 2010 Olympic Games. And finally, on Friday morning, Daniel joined Frances again, plus the Vancouver Courier's Allen Garr and host Rick Cluff on the CBC Early Edition's civic affairs panel. The topic was - you guessed it - that day's big budget decision. You can listen to the whole segment here, or download it.
