Tim Louis

When we first turned the lights on at the corporate headquarters of CityCaucus.com 2 weeks ago today, we promised our readers that you would get opinions from all different sides of the political spectrum. Well, we're keeping our promise with the announcement that former city councillor Tim Louis will be our first guest editorialist.

During his six years on Vancouver City Council, Tim Louis never shied away from tackling tough issues. Elected under the COPE banner, he was one of the highest profile councillors during his six years in office and is arguably one of Vancouver's strongest political voices.

Louis has long been an outspoken advocate for the city's marginalized. He was a founding board member for the BC Coalition of People with Disabilities, the Pacific Transit Co-operative (user-run transit service for citizens with disabilities) and the Public Interest Advocacy Centre.

Louis served on Vancouver Council from 1999 to 2005 whereby he served as the Chair of the City Services and Budgets Committee.

Our first guest editorial will be published in conjunction with the CityCaucus.com "official" launch early in January. As for the topic of his editorial, stay tuned...we'll be making that announcement soon.
